Introduction/Main Objectives: This study investigated preferred leadership styles across Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials. The autocratic, participative, laissez-faire were identified as the most prevalent styles; assessed to explore how generations affect role of leadership. Background Problems: Although perspectives have been from divergent angles, not explored adequately generations. Novelty: endeavored at filling gap in literature, provide direction stakeholders, regards preference each generation for a particular style. Research Methods: An exploratory research design was used this questionnaire items adopted Globe Leadership Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE) project. sample obtained adults over age eighteen Midwest USA Canada. Finding/Results: confirmed generally- accepted hypothesis that Boomers tend be workaholics career-driven. provides motivation further confirmatory studies pertaining vis-à-vis well demographic, geographic, cross-cultural variables. Conclusion: X is highly focused on family, life, work. millennial has modern values believes treating everyone equally, though with desire center attention stealing spotlight.
